Same systems problems. Different place they run.
Not a separate hardware lab beside Systems. Physical AI and cloud agents are both in scope for the same research: knowledge and communication.
Fleets in the cloud
How they communicate, share knowledge, and stay consistent with what runs local. Real fleets are heterogeneous: mixed silicon, mixed model sizes, mixed vendors, joining and leaving continuously.
Work happens at the edge, consolidates centrally into something canonical, and the canonical state returns. The thing to design is that round trip. The number to reduce is how long one lap takes as the fleet grows.

Two questions. Each one is measurable.
Communication carries state. Knowledge makes that state trustworthy. Both are stated as a time-to outcome rather than a theme to agree with, so there is a number to ask about. They sit below our product scope on purpose: the result should hold for any intelligent system, including hardware we do not sell.

Fleets grow, and the cost of consistency grows faster than the fleet. Embodiment adds latency, partition, and physical state.

Retrieval is not the hard part. Custody is: provenance, contradiction, revocation, and an audit trail that satisfies a regulator as well as a model.
